Today, GPC, Inc. is an internationally recognized leader in tank calibration services. GPC, Inc. serves on various committees of the American Petroleum Institute (API) by updating industry standards related to tank calibration. GPC, Inc. directly provides its services to its clients, including field surveying, 3-D modeling, calculations and report writing in accordance with API standards.
GPC, Inc. is headquartered in Crockett, CA and has a Gulf Coast office in Texas.
A LITTLE HISTORY
In 1986, D'Arcy Trask worked for Columbia Inspections as an Oil Inspector and was transferred from Los Angeles to Crockett, California. In 1989, D'Arcy starting working for Saybolt, Inc. doing oil inspection and tank calibration. During that time, he saw the need for a high quality tank calibration service provider. In 1992, D'Arcy established Gauge Point Calibration (GPC), Inc. in Rodeo, California.

D'Arcy Trask
Founder and CEO
D’Arcy Trask is the founder and CEO of Gauge Point Calibration, Inc. (GPC). In 1986, D'Arcy Trask worked for Columbia Inspections as an Oil Inspector and was transferred from Los Angeles to Crockett, California. John Barrella
Gulf Coast
Regional Manager
John Barrella is the Gulf Coast Regional Manager for GPC. John joined GPC in 2017 as a Field Technician with safety and compliance experience. In 2018, he helped GPC establish a presence in Houston, Texas, where he now manages the GPC operations for the Gulf Coast region. Additionally, he manages the safety and compliance programs for GPC operations and continues to do field work for clients in his area. John has more than 35 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry and has held a number of positions during his career including, Storage and Pipeline Terminal manager for both IMTT and BP. Field quality engineer for BP Global fuels and Quality Lab Manager for Castrol Lubricants.
Mark Metivier
East Coast
Regional Manager
Mark Metivier joined GPC in 2020 as the East Coast Regional Manager. He markets GPC services and prepares quotes for upcoming services. He manages all East Coast projects, provides an estimate, creates the job order, collects data from the job, reviews the final report to the customer, and provides any follow-up. He also is the Account Manager for GPC’s Caribbean customers. His work requires the use of API Standards 2.2 A, 2.2B, 2.2 D and 2.2G. Mark established a career in oil and gas, first starting in the marine petroleum inspection industry at various ports of New England. He has held several management positions in the past, including developing a Tank Calibration department. Mark has a strong reputation in the downstream industry, and he holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering.
Alec Baudanza
Field & Project Engineer
Alec Baudanza joined GPC in 2014 as a Field & Project Engineer. He provides calculations for tank calibrations and serves as a back-up Field Technician. Alec holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a Certification as an Engineer-in-Training
John Simon
Project Engineer,
Art Director
John Simon joined GPC in 2016 as the Art Director. In 2017, he began working as a Report Calculator providing calculations for capacity tables, levels of concern, and tank tilt & roundness reports. He continues to work in the capacity of Art Director by providing all graphics-digital and traditional--for GPC reports, website, and marketing material. John holds a B.A. and Certificate of Excellence in Web Design.
Chris Goehe
Office & Accounting
Chris Goehe joined GPC in 2013 as our Office & Accounting staff member. He is also the most likely point of contact when you call GPC for tank calibration services. In 2013, he was new to the oil and gas industry and learned from the ground up to gather the required technical information and to manage the calibration request through completion.
Don Lindgren
3D Modeler
Don Lindgren joined GPC in 2006 as a 3D Modeler. He works with high definition survey software that uses the latest point cloud technology to deliver accurate and precise models of various types of tanks.
Ricky Seydel
3D Modeler
Ricky Seydel joined GPC in 2012 as a 3D Modeler. He uses state of the art high definition survey software with point cloud technology to create various types of modeling reports used for calculations and client reports. Ricky holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from University of North Dakota.

Cody Booen joined GPC in 2009 as a 3D Modeler. He uses state of the art high definition survey software with point cloud technology to create various types of modeling reports used for calculations and client reports.
Greg Mauler
Field Technician
Greg Mauler joined GPC in 2018 as a High Definition Laser Scanner Technician. He performs high-definition laser scanning of the interior and exterior of various types of storage tanks while also collecting traditional hand measurements where needed. Specialty projects include Bottom Sediment and Water Surveys and In-service Tank Calibration Surveys. Greg has more than 20 years of experience in oil-related industries including, tank cleaning, general refinery services, purchasing, inventory control, expense reconciliation, fleet management, location management, budget, etc.
Ricardo Aguilar
Field Technician
Ricardo Aguilar joined GPC in 2006 as a High Definition Laser Scanner Technician. He performs high-definition laser scanning of the interior and exterior of various types of storage tanks while also collecting traditional hand measurements where needed. As a Technician he works closely with GPC’s modeling and calculation team.
Ryan Ernst
Field Technician
Ryan Ernst joined the Gauge Point Calibration team in August of 2022 as a Field Technician to perform high-definition laser scanning. Ryan is a two tour Army veteran having served as a combat medic in Iraq and a flight medic in Afghanistan.
Although new to the Petro-Chemical industry, Ryan brings over a decade of experience managing high stress situations and the lessons learned while serving the military and his community.
Ty Jensen
Field Technician
Ty recently joined as a field technician in 2023 with no prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry, except for knowing a few people here at Gauge Point. Prior to Gauge Point, Ty grew and managed sales teams in multiple different industries including, Photovoltaic (solar), SMB Software, and Online Travel. On nights and weekends, he can be found on the family beef ranch or with a fly rod in his hand.

John Christensen joined GPC in 2009 as a Software Developer. He develops custom software applications for GPC operations.
Monica Johnston
Technical Writer
Monica Johnston joined GPC in 2018 as a Technical Writer. She assists with developing API standards for using high definition survey systems for calibrating storage tanks. She assists with website development, manages GPC's social media presence, and leads in data collection and analytics for marketing. Monica holds a M.S. in Statistics.
